On March 16, 2006 the Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum will hold a CIO roundtable meeting as its monthly meeting. A special format for the roundtable is being used for this meeting. The meeting will be split into two parts: the first part will be a closed room session of CIOs only and the second part will be an open meeting with guest participants from some of our vendor member organizations. This is a great opportunity to get to know other CIOs better and for all to share knowledge and raise questions to the group at large. Please join our members at the meeting! CIO Roundtable Based on input from our CIO membership, at the March meeting, we are having a CIO Roundtable consisting of CIO profilings and two vendor member presentations. The same format for the roundtable is being used for this meeting as we did in the January meeting. The meeting will be split in two: the first part will be a closed room session of CIOs only and the second part will be an open meeting with guest participants from two of our vendor member organizations. This is a great opportunity to get to know other CIOs better and for all to share knowledge and raise questions to the group at large. The first half of the meeting will consist of CIO profile presentations and discussions by David Powell, CIO of AAI, Inc., Ellis Kitchen, CIO of the State of Maryland, Ed Smith, Chief Information Director, Utz Quality Foods, Inc., and Steve Bergman, CIO of Goodwill Industries International. Each will be presenting profiles of their company and IT operations and will select some highlights of project initiatives, lessons learned or topics they wish to discuss with the roundtable. All participants will be required to sign a non-disclosure statement for this meeting. In the second half of the meeting, the Forum continues the limelight series for our vendor members where the vendors make presentations on topics of their choosing. Our vendor members are very supportive of the Forum, but usually do not have a choice of topic. The vendors being showcased this meeting are IBM and Microsoft. The meeting is restricted to CIO members and guest CIOs. The meeting starts at 8:00 AM and is held on campus at Towson University. Brunch and lunch are provided. This part of the meeting day runs until noon, with lunch following. Pre-registration is required. Meeting logistics will be emailed to you after you register. To register, please contact Catherine Swift at cswift@towson.edu or 410-704-4252. To make inquiries about this meeting or about membership in the Mid-Atlantic CIO Forum, please contact: Liz Young
